An “Elbow” is a ‘Pipe Fitting’ used to join or connect two pieces of pipes at an angle that divert the flow of water in the pipe. The Elbows are available in various angles like 45 degrees, 90 degrees or 180 degrees. Elbows are of Regular elbow or Street elbow. The Elbow fittings are available in different varieties made with different metals like Copper-Nickel, Alloy steel, Duplex, Stainless steel, Carbon steel and Nickel Alloys. For threaded Elbows fittings male-to-male, female-to-female connections are most familiar and for street elbows, however, come in male-to-female arrangement.
45 Degree Elbow:
The 45 degrees elbow is also one of the Various Forms of the ‘Pipe Fitting’ which is used to join/Connect two pieces of pipes at an angle of 45 Degrees that divert the flow of water in the pipe. The Elbow fittings are available in different varieties made with different metals like Copper-Nickel, Stainless steel, etc.
The 90 degrees elbow is one type of Pipe Fitting used to connect two pieces of pipes at an angle of 90 Degrees that divert the flow of water in the pipe. The Elbows are available in various angles like 45 degrees, 90 degrees or 180 degrees. For the Threaded Elbows fittings, Male-to-Male, Female-to-Female connections are most usual/popular. For the street elbows, the Usual one is Male-to-Female Arrangement.
The Applications Of the Elbows are:
1. It is Used to control flow of gases, liquids in Industrial pipe lines.
2. It is Used In water supply, drainage systems, sewers.
3. It is Used in compressing oil, air and gas lines.
4. It is Used in Plumbing systems.
5. It is Used in ‘HVAC’ (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) technology.
